"Obedience sums up our entire duty"
-Hosea Ballou

I don't think it's all about obedience. We have to learn to do more than just follow instructions. Obedience is a great part but i don't think it sums up our entire duty. If some of our greatest inventors would have been  obedient we would have some of the great things we have today.

CHOOSE THE RIGHT!!!

"The more obedient we are, the more freedom we have."

-Boyd K. Packer

I don't agree with this quote for the simple reason that it doesn't make sense to me. It sounds sort of contradicting because if you want to be free one should do what they like. I'm not saying go out there and break the law but set your own path and don't listen to what others have to say about your choices.

Obedience

Obedience
Compliance with an order, request, or law or submission to another's authority
Similar to compliance, conformity, submissiveness, duty, docility
Your teacher telling you to bring your book and you are obedient by bringing your book
