"I will persist until I succeed"
-Og Mandino

We should never give up! Its up to us to fight for what we want, no matter how if the odds are against us. If we keep trying and pushing at it we will get what we want. Its like this quote says one should keep trying until they succeed. I wanted to be able to shoot a three pointer but was never able to. I didn't have the strength to but that didn't stop me. I kept trying until finally i made my three point shot.

This job does not interest me. I'm not very interested in the medical field because i feel like it's a lot of pressure. I couldn't handle knowing someone's life is in my hands. They also don't get paid the right amount of money for what they do. So since I'm not passionate about this i wouldn't do it.

"Nothing in the world can take the place of PERSISTENCE.
TALENT will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.
GENIUS will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb
EDUCATION will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.
Persistence and Determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan 'Press On' has solved and always will solve the problem of the human race."
-President Calvin Coolige
30th president of US

This man can not be any more correct! There is nothing more important than persistence and determination because without that we would be no where. We have come so far and it all thanks to the people who never quite and kept going. What would it have been like if Walt Disney just gave up? We wouldn't have the happiest place on earth and all those childhood stories and movies we learned to love! So we should never give up because we never know what we are capable of doing.

"The answer to these questions will determine your success or failure:
1. Can people trust me to do what's right?  YES
2. Am I committed to doing my very best?   NO
3. Do i treat people the way I want to be treated? SOMETIMES
If the answer to these questions are YES there is no way you can fail."
-Lou Holtz

I had thought about this but i think Lou makes a good point because if you answer yes to these questions it means you are choosing what is right. However sometimes even if you give it your all you still have a chance to fail. I've learn that the hard way. Thats okay though because at least you know you gave it you best and you could feel good about yourself and have no regrets. These question should be very helpful in living a good life.

CHOOSE THE RIGHT !!!!

"Doing what is right, fair and honorable is more important than winning or losing"
-Chick Moorman

I agree with this quote because you should always do whats right. If you win doing the wrong, it's hard to enjoy that win. And if you lose knowing you did what was right it helps you feel better about yourself. Its a matter of morals and what your conscience tells you. For example when they had given us an extra point but no one had notice. It was an honest mistake but we realized what happen and even though it cost us the win. We did what was right and it felt good.
My Weekend

My weekend wasn't very good. Since i didn't come to school on Thursday my parents were upset and they punished me. They took my phone away and didn't let me go out. The reason they were so upset was because i couldn't explain why i didn't want to go to school. I was just not feeling emotionally well. I didn't have the will power to get out of bed. i just wanted a day of school and all the people there. It's really hard to explain but i just had a lot of emotions and i didn't want to go to school because i was afraid to break down. I don't like crying in front of people. My parents didn't understand this and want me to explain why i was feeling that way. I couldn't explain because i myself didn't know.  They took it as me not trusting them so i was punished. They were even more upset when the found out i came to practice but they don't understand how playing basketball helps me. It clears my thoughts and for that moment i feel that everything is okay. It helps me forget about everything that's going wrong and i feel happy. Something i haven't truly been in a while.

I wouldn't want to be an ophthalmologist because i don't want to be an assistant. I want to be the main one!

"Goal setting is goal getting. Set and get."

-Mark Victor Hansen

One should always set goals because you need motivation but it's not just about setting on must do whatever is in there hands to achieve it. If we don't set goals we will have nothing to push us to do better. Life would be pointless. The only way to achieve goals is by setting them! Nothing is impossible, the only thing holding you back is yourself!! So go out there and set goals but achieve them as well! One is only as good as the goals you set.

Progress Report

My goals are more like long term goals that i can't really reach at this point but I am taking steps that i know will help me achieve me goals. For example I'm working really hard in class to pass them all with As. This will lead to me graduating! I'm also running more during the weekend so i can be prepared for the marathon. I'm taking lessons to learn how to drive and get my license. I have completed 2 goals so you can say I'm getting there. I like reading them because it reminds me why I'm doing what I'm doing.

Reflection: I wouldn't be able to do this job because its a lot of pressure and it's very scary. I wouldn't be able to see someone open up or watch all the blood that comes out. I admire the people who do this because it takes a lot of courage. I simply can't be in a room where someones life depends on me.
