Occupational Therapist

Duties and Responsibilities:
                                  Occupational therapy assistants work closely with patients to observe them, help them, and make reports to the occupational therapist on the patients' progress and development.  Most occupational therapy assistants are employed at hospitals, and many work at nursing homes.  Some work for schools for the handicapped.  Occupational therapy assistants may also work in rehabilitation centers or at adult daycare centers. They help patients who are mentally, emotionally, or physically disabled adjust to handicaps and regain abilities to perform daily living and self-care skills.  They work under the supervision of occupational therapists as part of a team with physicians, counselors, and physical therapists

Average Salary:
                    $12,000 - $15,000 (Occupational Therapy Aides)  
                         $17,000 - $26,000 (Occupational Therapy Assistants)

Educational Requirements:
                   They must have a high school diploma or GED certificate.Occupational therapy assistants must complete a two year training program that includes clinical experience.  They must also pass a national examination to earn certification as a qualified assistant.

Reflection:
       I think this is an interesting job but i wouldn't want to do this for a living. Maybe as a side job but i don't think they make enough.
